God knows us and loves us; knowing that fills a person with hope. God longs to see us fulfilled and enjoying life. Selfishness is a huge hindrance. When we begin to know ourselves, we realize apart from the work of the Spirit we are entirely inward and self-focused; the result of sin. It is Christ who calls us to turn outward; to be loving and other-focused. Knowing our true nature, apart from the work of grace, helps us to depend upon God and make decisions that empower us to offer our best to others for His glory.

Every morning I wake up and Thank God for what he has given me and then ask him to let me be the best Christian I can by touching other lives thru love and spreading his word. After all that is my job! I may not always be the best at it, but I'm never going to stop trying!

These are all ways I feel His presence. The knowledge that I can be His hands and feet to others in that same way motivates me to keep my eyes open for opportunites each day.
